Individual therapy

Time for you, in the language you think in

Individual therapy is for adults who want a steady place to think things through: a move, a loss, a hard year, a family that expects a lot of you. You and your clinician talk, and nobody hurries you toward an answer.

Sessions are 50 minutes, in Spanish, English or both, in Aurora or by video or phone.

The method, the pace and what this is not

  • The method

Your clinician draws on talk therapy that takes family and culture seriously: what you were taught at home, what you carry and what you want to keep. At the first session they name the approach and their training.

  • The pace

How often you meet is decided together, week by week. We do not promise a number of sessions.

  • What this is not

Individual therapy is not emergency care, medication management or an evaluation. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.

  • Your fee is given in writing before you start.

Three questions about individual therapy

Can I do therapy in both languages?

Yes. Many people start a sentence in one language and finish it in the other. Both clinicians are comfortable with that.

Can I meet by phone instead of video?

Yes, if you are in Colorado, New Mexico or Wyoming during the session. Tell us which you prefer, and change it any week.

What if I am not sure therapy is for me?

Ask for a 15-minute call about fit. It is a conversation, not therapy, an evaluation or an assessment, and you decide what comes next.
